(non) Strike Update: The Executive Board passed a motion tonight to recommend the bargaining package as presented by the bargaining team.

New contract language will be presented at the Rep Council meeting on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. Copies of the wording will be available online and in hard copy in your buildings.


All the drama for that??? "Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, we got screwed".

Mom urges parents to keep kids from WASL

Parents are used to objecting to short skirts, loud music and extended curfews, but a few are adding a test, the Washington Assessment of Student Learning, to their list of no-nos.

Spanaway mom Juanita Doyon, founder of Mothers Against the WASL, wants parents to know they can opt their children out of the test by providing a written statement to their school.
